February 20, Dallas, Texas: I led a workshop for teachers, and gave an evening presentation to parents, at the Irma Lerma Rangel Young Women’s Leadership School.
March 18, Edmonton, Alberta: I spoke to parents at an event hosted by EO Edmonton.
April 8, Morristown, New Jersey: I met with students at the Peck School, and led a workshop for teachers. In the evening, I spoke to parents as the guest of Common Ground Speaks, hosted by the Peck School.
April 9, West Caldwell, New Jersey: I led workshops for teachers, and spoke to parents, as the guest of Caldwell – West Caldwell Public Schools.
May 13, St. Petersburg, Florida. I led a morning conference for community leaders, at the Poynter Institute, about gender gaps in academic achievement.
May 13, Largo, Florida: I gave a presentation to school and district administrators, at the Stavros Institute, about strategies to close gender gaps in academic achievement. In the afternoon, I led a workshop for teachers. That evening, I spoke to parents at the Largo Cultural Center. My host was the Pinellas Education Foundation.
May 28, Calgary, Alberta: I spoke to parents at an event hosted by EO Calgary.
July 10, Austin, Texas: I gave the keynote address, and led breakout sessions, at a full-day conference for teachers hosted by the Texas Baptist Church Weekday Education Association.
July 16, Gaithersburg, Maryland: I spoke to parents at an event co-hosted by the Avalon School and the Brookewood School.
August 14, Carrollton, Texas: I gave the keynote address, and led breakout sessions, at a full-day conference for teachers hosted by the Texas Baptist Church Weekday Education Association.
September 2, Morristown, New Jersey: I returned to the Peck School to lead a full-day workshop for teachers.
September 21, San Francisco, California: I returned to L’Ecole Notre Dame des Victoires to lead a workshop for teachers. That evening, I spoke to parents.
September 23 and 24, Grand Coteau, Louisiana: I led two days of training for teachers at the Academies of the Sacred Heart. The evening of September 23, I spoke to parents.
I led workshops for youth justice professionals – probation officers, guardians ad litem, directors of residential youth justice facilities, and other juvenile justice professionals – at four venues across Ontario, sponsored by the Ministry of Children & Youth Services:
October 16 and 17, Charlotte, North Carolina: I gave presentations to parents, hosted by Christ Episcopal Church.
November 13 and 14, Canton, Farmington Hills, and Rochester Hills, Michigan: I gave presentations to parents at three different venues, sponsored by Muslim Family Services of Greater Detroit. At each venue, I also facilitated a conversation with teenagers about social media and video games.
